Speed dating idea:
Possible loctaions:
-Recreate at someone's home
-Recreate at college
-Use actual place needed
-Village hall
Actors/Actresses:
-The one main character who is going to be female (Research from questionaire supports that this is the best gendre to have the main character for our project)
-Six to seven side characters (All are going to be male, for the sense of a rom-com)
-Possible best friend character?
Stereotypes for males roles: Issues why she doesn't choose them:
-"Fit"-bodied person -Vain
-Ginger -Ginger family/childern
-Geek -Boring, not interesting
-Stuck up/Posh -Vain, Getting no attention?
-Chav/gangster -Immature, druggy, Ally setting?
-Sports -Not into womens things, playign a harsh sport
Soundtrack:
Something up beat but not to main stream (Research shows that rom-coms are more niache type films)
e.g. something with a guitar and/or piano. The music should only slightly be heard when the voiceover is in place, and when the voiceover is not there, the music is at a normal level of volume.
-The voiceover will be of the main character and not within the cut aways. (If the actor/actoress is unsure of her/his voice, there maybe a possibility of using someone elses voice)
Costume:
-Main character, attractive (stereotypical for films, protagonist= good looking)
-Quite up to date clothing (I.e. the current fashion of vintage and "indie" that has arose within younger aged cultures)
-Each male role will have a fitting outfit towards which stereotype they are.
Storyline:
First set of scenes (Distribution and Production companies)
-"Bel-Air Distribution" America has the better and more powerful distribution companies so we names it after a city/town there.
-" Productions"
First scene (establishing shot)
-Starts with a door, slightly zooming out and the voiceover starts to come in. Once reached the limits of the zoom out, the door opens to a person with flowers and hte door slams in the persons face. (The comedy element of this will be within the voiceover, a quote or something whity about love will be said)
